Jacob Pugh Project 2
I wish that I had a better understanding of the assignment and it was my fault for never asking of what a diptyque should be like. That is basically the reason why the pictures I painted don't look similar in almost no type of way. I honestly did enjoy doing the final project, and creating our own organic shapes and putting together geometric shapes in our own way, and even using the colors of our choice, to me, was a very high point of the project as a whole. If I had some type of chance to actually recolor the project, I would definitely do it so the two painting would match.
I had to think for a while in how I wanted to create the second painting, the organic shaped one, and when I found out the color choices and how to blend them, I instantly liked it more than the geometric shaped painting. I think the organic painting is more interesting than the other and, in a way for some reason, more visually appealing.
The painting that is consisted with geometric shapes was something that I wasn't thinking of. What I mean when I say that is that I didn't have any type of plan whatsoever when I began to do this part of the assignment. I just took a ruler and made lines all over the paper that looks simple enough for me to paint and ended up having enough geometric shapes to reach the criteria for the project.
