Extra Final Art Project- Mack Need

I originally did this as my main final, but then I realized it was much more expressive and should be used for my extra credit one. This is based off the original picture of myself that a friend of mine and I collaborated on. It is about vanity and being trapped by it. I was inspired to do the red prison-bar-type design once I cut out the "Danger" red ribbon on my collage. It is dangerous to be so sucked into superficial things these days. The photo shows me taking a selfie. We did a whole series shoot on selfies and vanity. The woman is faceless because she's meant to be. Lacking of substance and blinded by the way others might see her. Again, I am very passionate about psychology and people and why we do what we do. I took this project as an opportunity to show that. I also added elements such as twigs and stickers to mimick my sleeve. I used an old phone case to replace the phone and add a 3D element.
